自助仓储通过出租空间的方式给人提供了一个存取自由和租期灵活的服务。在美国，几乎每十个家庭就有一个使用自助仓储的服务，好的地点甚至供不应求。从2009年到2018年，自助仓储的年平均投资回报率为16.9%，这个数字高于办公室、工业、零售或公寓的回报率。在中国，自2015年以来，自助仓储行业进入高速发展期，年均复合增长率高达60%。据不完全统计，截止2017年底，中国自助仓储企业约60家，自助仓网点达到1000多个。

Self-storage provides people with a free access and flexible lease term service by renting out space. Nearly one in ten households in the U.S. uses self-storage services, and good locations are even in short supply. From 2009 to 2018, the average annual ROI for self-storage was 16.9%, a figure higher than the rate of return for office, industrial, retail or condos. In China, since 2015, the self-storage industry has entered a period of rapid development with an average annual compound growth rate of 60%. It is reported that, as of the end of 2017, there were about 60 self-storage enterprises in China, and more than 1,000 self-storage facilities.

本次分享会是对美国自助仓储行业的建造技术的探讨，是2021年10月由美中钢结构协会主办的美国自助仓储行业初次分享的延伸。本次重点以土木和结构工程师的视角与大家分享具有低开发成本，低运营成本，建造速度快，以轻钢结构形式为主的美国自助仓储的市场状况和基本建筑结构组成形式。

Self-storage buildings have the features of low development cost, low operating cost, fast construction speed. Majority of them are built mainly by cold-formed steel members and components. This webinar will introduce market status and basic building structure composition of self-storage in the United States from the perspective of civil and structural engineers,which is the extension to introduction of US self-storage in Oct 2021 by ACSFA.
